BISTRO BACCHUS

Bistro Bacchus is a family-run restaurant and wine bar in the heart of Lapad, Dubrovnik, rooted in a family tradition dating back to 1957. We serve Mediterranean and Croatian dishes prepared with carefully selected local ingredients, paired with a hand-picked selection of Croatian wines. Join us for brunch every day from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm, and from 6:00 pm, a relaxed dinner, or a romantic evening on our welcoming terrace. Live music takes place every Tuesday and Friday. Away from the crowds of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, Bacchus offers warm hospitality, honest food, and unhurried moments for couples, families, and friends.

We cook the dishes we grew up with, using fish from local boats, olive oil and vegetables from farmers around Dubrovnik. Named after Bacchus, the god of wine, our wine list features a hand-picked selection of Croatian wines from small family wineries across the country.

Our family story

By blending Vedran’s grandfather’s Niko historic restaurant roots from Konavle with Silvija’s grandparents’ coastal fishing and pansion legacy in Pomena on Mljet Island, they have created a wonderful homage to authentic Croatian flavors. Honoring authentic family recipes like Baba Jele’s brudet and Mljet cuttlefish black risotto keeps that deep multi-generational connection alive with every dish.
